ewing family sword

this is the ewing family broadsword.
it is based on my favourite movie sword, "the atlantean" from the conan movies.
the white pieces are carved from A.B.S. plastic and as you can see it's still a work in progress.
once the white pieces are finished i shall take a mold from them in order to take a wax copy. i will then use the lost wax method to cast them in bronze.
the blade i shall forge when everything else is finished to ensure a good fit.
the pommel bares two horses, the symbol of power
the cross bares two dogs, the symbol of courage
below the horses head will be my family name in runes.
between the dogs heads will be the emblem of my clan, the cut down oak tree.
on the blade between the qiullons will be my family moto "reviresco" which is latin and roughly translates as "i flourish again"
